Cyclists enjoy the local rides through Thornton and over the Skyline ridge road with views over Lake Eildon, or longer rides along the rail trail or a gentler ride around Alexandra. The old Mansfield and Alexandra railway lines as cycle track is now open offering a wide choice of gentle cycle trails in the region, with Athlone Park ideally situated to provide the base camp. We have had many happy cyclists enjoy attempts to catch one of our elusive trout after a stimulating bike ride.
